What's That You're Doing? (No.11 / Vol.1)
Konnichiwa and welcome to the PaulMcCartney.com newsletter for November.
November's big news is that Paul played his first tour of Japan since 2002. Before he left we sat down with him to do a Japan Q&A, including questions from Japanese fans, which we published during the tour. Paul discusses some of his favourite memories of Japan; his favourite Japanese food and places in the country; his favorite teas and offers advice to a fan who wants to learn English. Check out the Q&A by clicking HERE!
A sixth Japan Q&A was published yesterday for this month's 'You Gave Me The Answer'. In it Japanese fan Emi asks Paul "Where do you write your songs?" To read Paul's response click HERE!
At the beginning of the tour Paul was met in Osaka airport by thousands of excited fans prompting comparisons to "Beatles style scenes". Paul and Nancy both wore traditional Japanese happi coats for their arrival. See photos HERE and check out a video showing just how noisy the airport was by clicking HERE!
There will be more from Paul's Japan tour in the coming weeks so remember to keep checking back to PaulMcCartney.com...
We have published a NEW selection of behind-the-scenes videos during November including exclusive looks at Paul's interview at The Shard in London, his performances for BBC Radio plus his impromptu concert at Covent Garden and HMV signing. Watch the NEW video playlist HERE!
Paul wrote a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin this month calling for the release of Greenpeace activists. Read Paul's letter HERE!
We regrammed the 1,000th fan image at the 'NEW' Instagram account this past week! Paul asked fans to pass on photos when they see the word NEW. We've also been posting fans holding their copy of Paul's 'NEW' album asking them to let us know their favourite tracks on the album and which country they're in. If you want to get involved Instagram your photos using the hashtag #whatsnewPaul. Check out the regrammed images by clicking HERE!
And finally if you haven't joined Paul on the Japanese-based social network LINE yet why not add him as a friend today! Paul has accounts in English and Japanese and after launching just over a month ago already has over 9,750,000 followers!
Paul's 'NEW' album was released last month and is available now from Amazon, Google Play and iTunes. We love reading your feedback so be sure to let us know your favourite songs from Paul's 'NEW' album at the Maccaboard or your social network of choice using the hashtag #whatsnew.
All the best!
